Treptow-Köpenick is by far the largest Berlin district by area, stretching from Plänterwald, Baumschulenweg and Niederschöneweide on the Spree through Adlershof as a science and technology campus, the Köpenick old town at the confluence of Spree and Dahme, to the wide waterside areas around the Müggelsee, Langer See and Zeuthener See. Friedrichshagen, Rahnsdorf, Müggelheim, Grünau and Schmöckwitz are classic waterside locations with single-family houses, villas and plenty of green, and a growing premium residential market for Berlin families who want to escape the inner city without leaving the city area.
