Billed as private medical services under the German fee schedule (GOÄ). Not every item is clinically appropriate for every visit, the attending physician will advise on-site.
Not an emergency service: for life-threatening emergencies, call 112 immediately.
Only licensed physicians with clinical experience are dispatched, many with years of on-call practice; the team introduces itself on the team page. Billing is transparent under the GOÄ (German medical fee schedule): a house call in Berlin usually costs 150–300 € including travel, with full details on the costs page.
An important distinction: the private on-call service does not replace an emergency doctor. In a life-threatening emergency, call 112 immediately; the emergency guide explains which route applies when.
Call us or use the online booking, daily from 6 am to midnight; briefly describe the complaints.
The doctor usually reaches you within 60–90 minutes, at home, at your hotel or at the office, in all 12 Berlin districts.
Examination, treatment and, where needed, prescription, sick note or hospital referral on the spot; you receive the transparent GOÄ invoice afterwards.
A private medical on-call service is an out-of-hours doctor service run privately: licensed physicians come straight to your home without going through the statutory KV dispatch and bill under the GOÄ fee schedule. It is open to privately insured patients, civil-service beneficiaries and statutory patients as self-payers, and it is the no-wait alternative to 116 117.
A house call in Berlin usually costs 150–300 € under the GOÄ, travel fee included; evening and holiday surcharges may apply. Private insurers and Beihilfe generally reimburse the invoice, statutory patients pay as self-payers.
Privately insured patients (PKV) typically receive full reimbursement of the GOÄ invoice. Beihilfe beneficiaries combine their allowance (50–80 % depending on the federal state) with supplementary private cover and are generally fully covered. Statutory patients pay as self-payers and may deduct the costs as extraordinary expenses under § 33 EStG. Travellers with international health or travel insurance receive an international invoice, in English on request. We state the expected price range by phone before the doctor sets out.
The service operates daily from 6 am to midnight, including Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. After midnight, the statutory on-call service (116 117) takes over, and 112 handles emergencies.
No. The emergency doctor arrives via 112 with the rescue service and handles life-threatening situations. The private on-call service treats urgent, non-life-threatening complaints at home; with warning signs such as chest pain, shortness of breath or unconsciousness, call 112 immediately.
Yes, the home-visit service also treats acutely ill children. Many of the physicians are parents themselves and attuned to children's needs. However, not every doctor on duty treats infants and toddlers, so please contact us in advance by phone or via the online booking so we can schedule the right physician for your child.
